HOW OFTEN does THOROUGH EXAMINATION NEED to be DONE UNDER LOLER?
All powered access equipment used for lifting people must undergo a Thorough Examination (LOLER Inspection) at least every 6 months. Unscheduled or more frequent Thorough Examination must be carried out in exceptional circumstances e.g. accidental damage, major repair or modification, being out of use for long periods of time, extensive use or exposure to harsh environments. Lifting equipment used for material lifting and handling need to be LOLER tested at least every 12 month.
WE HELP YOU to COMPLY WITH HEALTH & SAFETY REGULATIONS
Upon completion of the LOLER test you will receive a copy of On-Site Work Report, a weatherproof LOLER sticker for your access platform and a PDF Certificate of Thorough Examination (laminated hard copy is available upon request). We will set up a file for each of your machines to record all procedures, inspections, servicing, repairs and Thorough Examinations performed by us to give you a peace of mind. We will notify you in advance when your next inspection is due and book an appointment for a suitable date to ensure you comply with LOLER and PUWER Regulations.
COST of LOLER TESTING
The price you pay for the LOLER Inspection (Thorough Examination) depends on the complexity of powered access or lifting equipment, location and any special requirements (out of hours visits, etc). Discounts are available if we examine more than one machine. Our popular Service & LOLER plans guarantee a fixed cost for multiple visits. Please contact us for more information.
RECORDED HARNESS and LANYARD INSPECTION
Did you know that even small movements at ground level can lead to a person being catapulted out of the basket? Wearing full body safety harness with an adjustable lanyard at the shortest workable length is essential when working from a boom type powered access platforms. This applies to various types of cherry pickers, articulated boom lifts, tracked access platforms, spider lifts and van/truck/trailer-mounted MEWPs. Regular inspection and care of harnesses and lanyards is mandatory (refer to manufacturer’s recommendations). Our engineers are fully qualified to carry out Recorded Harness and Lanyard Inspection, which can be tied in with the LOLER Inspection of your machine
We also offer Forklift and Pallet Truck LOLER Inspections and Detailed Ladder Inspections
